Road Bikes
Built for speed and efficiency
Road bikes are meant for pavement riding, are the most efficient to ride, and are built for speed. They have narrower tires and drop bars for a more aerodynamic position.
There are a variety of road bikes for all types of riders:
Recreation road bikes are designed for a rider who does casual riding along with some charity rides and entry-level triathlons.
Racing road bikes are light, fast and durable.
Endurance road bikes are made for longer riding than a racing bike. They absorb road vibrations more and sit you more upright for a more comfortable ride.
Cyclo-cross road bikes are designed for road and dirt trail riding and racing. Generally they are a little heavier and more durable.
Touring road bikes are made for long-distance riding.
